ABOUT US
Lighthouse Entitlement Professionals is a local, family-owned and operated firm specializing in land entitlement and platting. Our founders established the firm after a long-term employer closed its doors, recognizing that the industry was lacking the unique specialists they had become accustomed to. They aimed to continue offering their skills and knowledge to the land development community.
Our entitlement specialists have established strong relationships and work closely with various industries in the South Florida region, enabling us to streamline the platting and entitlement processes for our clients efficiently.
We specialize in Miami-Dade County, Broward County, and all municipalities in South Florida.
Meet Tara
Tara M. Ramos is the Co-Founder and President of LEP. She grew up visiting construction sites with her dad and spent every summer shuffling papers at an engineering firm with her mom, which gradually cultivated her interest in the industry.
Tara began her career as a receptionist at Ludovici & Orange Consulting Engineers, where she advanced to become Survey Department Manager. She spent fifteen years gaining valuable experience and a broad knowledge of the land development industry. Tara managed the survey aspect of the business, overseeing and administering all facets of the platting process, performing quality assurance reviews on all plans, establishing and monitoring project schedules, tracking the progress of each project, coordinating project tasks with surveyors and field crews, closely collaborating with civil engineers and other professionals to efficiently complete each project, and supporting clients in achieving their goals.
Tara’s expertise in administrative processes for land development, combined with her knowledge of South Florida’s platting and entitlement procedures, makes her an invaluable asset to our clients.
Meet Ory
Oriza M. Dawes, better known as Ory, is the Co-Founder and Vice President of LEP. Ory began her career in residential construction at a young age, igniting her passion for the development industry.
In 1983, this experience secured Ory a position as a construction secretary on project sites for a well-known residential developer, where she performed similar duties. She was later promoted to an office role, coordinating closings with home buyers, attorneys, banks, and title companies, and conducting walkthroughs with buyers, alongside her responsibilities as an administrative assistant to the President.
In 1988, her industry connections led Ory to what would become her home for the next 36 years, Ludovici & Orange Consulting Engineers. Detailing all her responsibilities at L&O would take up a lot of space, so listing her titles can provide insight into how she gained her experience: Office Manager, Bookkeeper, Contract Administrator, Client Relations, Coordinator of Contractor Bids, Human Resources, Training Manager, and Administrative Assistant.
Ory’s experience and knowledge offer invaluable benefits to our clients.
